Acting responsibly
One of NMC’s declared objectives is to act in a socially, sustainably and ecologically responsible fashion. For us, socially responsible actions, environmental protection and sustainability are inseparably linked. This is in the interest of our customers, employees, shareholders and future generations. We thus look beyond the bounds of our company and engage ourselves in a wide variety of areas related to sport, the arts, culture and society.
We want to be accountable for our actions so that through our products or our operating procedures we do not damage either people or the environment. To this end NMC has defined company-wide standards for environmental and safety practices. The fundamental basis for these standards is the “Responsible Care” initiative for the chemical industry. NMC emphasizes its company-wide uniform compliance to environmental and safety standards. For this purpose all of our companies and subsidiaries are bound to comply to our fundamental principles and goals as well as the "
Responsible Care" initiative.

An Environment which promotes life
The efficient use of resources such as water and electricity is just as important to NMC as the consistent and continuous implementation of strict environmental protection through waste reduction, recycling, air pollution control and prevention of water pollution.
The experts were amazed when we switched our production not only to CFC-free, but also to HCFC-free processes in 1988. Even back then our shareholders, management and engineers saw how significant global warming would be in the third millennium.
So today we recycle almost 100 percent of the residual and waste polyethylene material from production and reincorporate it into the production process.

REACH - more responsibility for the company
The new EU chemicals regulation concerning the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals (REACH) has been valid since June 1st, 2007. The aim of REACH is to protect people and the environment while increasing the competitiveness of European industry. The new regulation creates uniform laws across Europe and replaces the existing arrangements for scrap analysis and registration of new materials.
REACH affects all manufacturers, importers and users of chemicals in the EU who must take on even more responsibility for the safe handling of chemicals. For more information, various download possibilities are available
